oh mary-louise parker, you and your drug dealing, short dress wearing, iced latte drinking shenanigans that you get into week after week, season after season. we've been all over the country, and the world for this matter, chasing your dream of being a big time drug dealer. ever since creator Jenji Kohan selling dime bags on Showtime August 7, 2005, and he has been capturing the hearts of young and old alike.
*spoilers*
since we have finished up season seven we have been with the Botwin family (mother Nancy, sons Shane and Silus, and crazy Uncle-Andy) from small suburban American town in southern California, Agrestic, to beach side in Ren Mar... after Nancy burns down Agrestic, after all she can't afford to get busted, lets just burn down an entire town. then Nancy gets knocked up and married a drug cartel king pin and moves to Mexico. that all seems fine and dandy, until Shane kills someone and they flee Mexico and run across country in an rv. unfortunately a short pit stop in Michican leaves Nancy in prison, paying the price of Shane's murder, while the rest of the family scoots off to Copenhagen. the Botwin family starts off season seven three years later in New York City while Nancy manipulates the system in order to get out of her half-way house and ends with a big picnic, a happy family, and a sniper rifle.
if you're looking for some cheap lighthearted laughs you can't go wrong with WEEDS. it's completely outlandish and over the top, which can have its good moments and it's bad. this show has taken quite a few turns over the last seven years. it's starting to take a more serious feel to it, which gives the characters more depth. rumors are speculating that this might be our last season with our favorite drug dealing family. i guess we will see how season eight plays out.
throw off your shoes, kick back, and pack a bowl
